The cost of medical treatments and medications can skyrocket, putting them out of reach for many people. Additionally, this system can lead to the underfunding of necessary but less profitable services. It also encourages competition, which could potentially hinder cooperation and information sharing among medical professionals. Lastly, it can create an imbalance of healthcare services, with wealthier areas having more access than poorer ones.
